VKnow Patent Services was founded by Dr Rajesh Gulhane in November 2018. Rajesh holds a PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry from NIPER Mohali, a National Institute for Pharmaceutical Education & Research in India & has gained Postdoctoral research experience in the field of Medicinal chemistry at Dr Reddy’s Research Foundation, the research wing of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) and at the University of Paris Sud, Chatenay-Malabry, France.

Prior to VKnow Patent Services, Rajesh headed the Intellectual Property (IP) department of Ajanta Pharmaceutical Ltd. for more than six years. And prior to Ajanta, Rajesh worked with reputed Indian Pharma companies like Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd., Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., and Wockhardt Ltd., in the IP department in various capacities drafting; filing and prosecuting patent application(s) for New chemical entity (NCE) and Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API); patent invalidation and freedom-to-operate opinions for Regulated, Domestic & ROW markets.

Rajesh has worked at some point for a shorter duration as a Researcher and Formulation Scientist, during his tenure of more than 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry. As a part of his postgraduate and PhD research work, Rajesh has published nine research papers in reputed journals of Organic Chemistry and has been granted two Indian Patents.

With a blend of knowledge in the field of chemistry as well as biology, both during his academic curriculum and industrial tenure, Rajesh can deal with most of the IP issues in pharmaceutical industry with equal ease. Under his joint leadership with other founding members, the firm has made a strong impact and emerged as one of the fastest growing IP focused firms in the western region of India.
